About the artist
Exploring the interconnectedness between physical and metaphysical worlds through a feminist and Jungian view, Amy Smith creates bold compositions using the language of symbolism to explore themes of life, death, connection to nature, systems, control, and the search for balance.
Ecoart is an integral part of her life and influences her work. Using upcycled materials, found materials, objects, and making her own paper textures she creates unique combines influenced by Robert Rausenberg. Telling stories through these materials evoke a timeless energy that speaks beyond our identity to our soul.
Amy’s work has been shown at the Ontario Art & History Museum, International art fairs - Los Angeles Art Show, Saatchi's “The Other Art Fair” and been part of auctions such as revered Julien's Auctions with artists like Mr. Brainwash, Shepard Fairey, Risk, and Andy Warhol.
