Amy Smith is a mixed media artist based in Los Angeles continually pushing the boundaries of her craft. Through her diverse body of work, which encompasses large-scale murals, physical paintings, and digital art, she invites viewers into a world of captivating storytelling.

While some of her creations stem from a profound response to political, social, and environmental injustices, the majority emanate from her deeply ingrained optimism and unwavering belief in the transformative power of feminism, unity, and love.

Exploring the interconnectedness between physical and metaphysical worlds through a feminist and Jungian view, Smith creates bold compositions using the language of symbolism to explore themes of life, death, connection to nature, systems, control, and the search for balance.

Ecoart is an integral part of her life and influences her work. Using upcycled materials, found materials, objects, and making her own paper textures she creates unique combines influenced by Robert Rauschenberg. Telling stories through these materials evoke a timeless energy that speaks beyond our identity to our soul.

Advocacy and community are important to her practice as well. Teaching kids upcycled art class, she’s able to extend the importance of reuse even while creating.

Smith is currently represented by several Los Angeles based galleries. She has international collector base and has completed many commissions for clients.

Smith’s work has been shown at the Ontario Art & History Museum, Affordable Art Fair, Art on Paper, Los Angeles Art Show, and has been part of auctions such as revered Julien's Auctions with artists like Mr. Brainwash, Shepard Fairey, Risk, and Andy Warhol.
